Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 August 2026On this page
This Cookie Policy explains which cookies are used in connection with 3d-sys.com, what they do, and how you can control them. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store. When you return, the browser sends it back, which allows the site or its service providers to recognise your browser and remember certain information. Similar technologies such as local storage work in the same way.
2. Categories we use
The cookies used in connection with this website fall into two categories:
- Security cookies. Set by Google reCAPTCHA to tell real visitors apart from automated bots when you submit one of our forms. Without these our forms cannot be protected from spam.
- Analytics and advertising cookies. Set by Google Analytics and Google Ads on certain pages, to tell us how the site is used and whether our advertising leads to enquiries.
3. Cookies used on 3d-sys.com
This website is a static site and does not set its own first-party cookies for logins, carts or preferences. The cookies below are set by the third-party services we use.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Typical lifetime |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors so we can count visits and sessions | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Maintains session state for the analytics property | 2 years |
_gcl_au | Google Ads | Measures whether an ad click led to an enquiry (conversion linker) | 90 days |
_GRECAPTCHA | Google reCAPTCHA | Distinguishes people from bots on our enquiry forms | 6 months |
Exact names and lifetimes are controlled by the providers and may change; the list above reflects our current configuration.
4. How to control cookies
We do not currently display a cookie consent banner on this website. You can control cookies yourself in the following ways:
- Your browser. Every major browser lets you block or delete cookies, either entirely or per site. See your browser’s help pages for instructions. Blocking security cookies may prevent our enquiry forms from working.
- Google Analytics. Install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on to stop your visits being measured.
- Google advertising. Adjust or turn off personalised advertising in your Google Ad Settings.
5. Do Not Track
Some browsers can send a “Do Not Track” signal. Because there is still no agreed industry standard for how sites should respond to it, this website does not currently change its behaviour based on that signal. You can use the controls in Section 4 instead.
6. Changes to this policy
If we add, remove or change the cookies used on this website, we will update this page and the revision date shown at the top. Cookies are also covered by our Privacy Policy.
